About a month ago, I headed off to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the first time in my life to see my sweet friend, Amy, marry her best friend and the love of her life, Scott! Amy and I met while working at ICMA in Washington, DC, and yesterday was actually her last day there. So, I thought this would be a nice little happy-new-chapter surprise!
I actually have Scott to thank for Amy's friendship, because his job in DC is what led Amy to move there from New Mexico, and I just adore her. She may just be one of the funniest people I've ever known, and I don't mean that she's any type of comedian. She just has a knack for making everyday life seem really ridiculously, side-splittingly funny! And Scott isn't just an audience, because he's more than capable of keeping up with her.
I so enjoyed my time out west, too! The scenery is just breathtaking, and Amy's family couldn't have been more friendly or welcoming. Plus, this Southern stomach took in a lot of really spicy food and came out unscathed, so I'd call that a blue ribbon trip.
Enjoy these pictures from Amy & Scott's special day!
This is Gabby, Amy's cousin. Even at her young age, she's so gifted at logistics and planning. I think wedding planning is definitely in her future!
Oh, Megan. You light up my life.
