So, we made a night of it! Cat's Cradle is about a mile from UNC, where we both went to school. And our beloved Franklin Street Pizza & Pasta is closing soon, so we decided we had to go there for dinner first!
Yummmmm garlic knots.
As we were waiting in line to get in to the concert, we saw these little comedic nuggets.
Y'all, that's my mom's name. And she pretty much does anything but political satire. We texted her just to make sure she wasn't moonlighting as a stand-up comedian, but I'm pretty sure she couldn't look as thrown together as the lady on the flyer on her worst day.
Thank you, Glow Coloring app, for making that arrow possible.
The After Party and Secondhand Serenade opened for Boyce Avenue, and if I'm being honest, I wasn't crazy about either of them. The After Party was nice to look at, but the lead singer from Secondhand Serenade has a voice that I don't love so much.
Anyway, it didn't take long for Boyce Avenue to make an appearance, and they. were. awesome. On top of that, they are SUPER well-educated. I mean, that one on the right went to Harvard Law School. I know it shouldn't matter, but darn it if I'm not a sucker for higher education.
We were flat out EXHAUSTED after the show, but I would absolutely see them again! And, I'll use pretty much any excuse to visit Chapel Hill.
